Chromebooks are far from Dead

Google has been working hard to make Chrome OS on their Chromebooks a powerful, fast, awesome experience for all.  Many people are ready to write Chromebooks off as the sales figures have been poor.  However, here are some interesting facts that show why this is so.  Number 1 is the fact that Chromebooks are not available in stores.  Many people prefer to get hands on with a device before purchasing it.  Google has been talking about making these devices available on store shelves which will help this issue.  The other issue is that people don't seem to understand the brilliance that is a Chromebook yet.  Virus free, hassle free access to your computer and all of your files.  It's a great idea and Google has done a great job making the OS better over time as promised.  Aura UI has really added to Chromebooks and I still use mine as my primary computer.  Another interesting fact is if people remember when Google Chrome first came out.  It took many years for it to surpass Firefox and to even surpass Internet Explorer at one point.  Once people gave it a try they loved it and the same will go for the OS.  People are looking down at the sales figures on these devices, but if you look at Apple's sales on their Macbooks they are very low and have been since they came out.  I think given the chance Chromebooks could eventually catch up to Windows PCs in sales.

I had always been an avid Windows Supporter until I got my hands on a Chromebook.  I quickly saw how a PC could not be frustrating or need to be repaired on a weekly basis with updates that take over half an hour to complete.  When you reboot a Chromebook with an update it boots just as fast as if it hadn't been updated.  Plus each new version of Chrome OS doesn't require you to purchase an upgrade like Windows and Mac do.  My wife also fell in love with my Chromebook and ordered her own because of how great it is to have a hassle free, fast, virus free pc.  Chromebooks stand a chance if people will give them a try.  They are very affordable and most people do live on the web.  I've found that nearly everything I use my computer for can be done on my Chromebook.  My wife feels the same.  These are truly remarkable devices and are worth a shot.  As affordable as they are people should give them a try.
