Sonic Generations - 3DS Review

Sonic Generations was developed cross platform for all major gaming consoles.  The 3DS edition in particular drew a lot of attention because fans were looking forward to seeing Sonic in full eye popping 3D.  Did this game fall short?

The Good
-3D effects looked nice for the most part
-familiar areas like Radical Highway
-Mission mode with 100 missions
-Beautiful visuals
-Unlock-able music, artwork, and more
-Good Controls

The Bad
-Levels were really only side scrolling except when chasing the chaos emeralds
-Only 7 different zones
-The main adventure could be completed in one sitting from a devoted player
-Most missions had to be obtained via street pass or play coins

The Verdict
-Sonic Generations felt more like a demo of a good game than an actual game.  It was way too short.  I honestly felt ripped off after completing it.  The missions add to it, but not enough especially if you don't street pass someone on a regular basis.

6.5
