Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze Review

Donkey Kong and Crew are back for the 5th Donkey Kong Country title to date exclusively on the Wii U.

The Good

• Gorgeous Graphics
• Chilling Soundtrack
• Great themed enemies and levels
• Minecarts and Rocket barrels now have 2 hits
• Donkey Kong, Dixie Kong, Cranky Kong, and Diddy Kong all playable

The Bad

• Too much collapsing backgrounds and platforms some nice calmer levels every once in a while would have been a bonus especially some ambient water levels.

The Verdict

Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze is a big step in the right direction.  Levels are more manageable and minecarts and rocketbarrles have 2 hits.  The levels are always falling apart and exploding however which although cool is a little bit too much at times.
