Chrome Web Apps First Look

Google has been working hard on creating the Chrome web store, and we can now get a basic look as to why.  Here is a screenshot I took from my Chrome Browser showing the installed Icons:

As you can see the new tab page is basically your desktop now.  The main issue is the only backgrounds you can have are if you make a theme.  You can't just pick a background yet, however Google may change this in the coming months.  Web apps will be very nice because they will enable you to use certain apps without an internet connection, also installed apps can be launched as a standard tab, full screen, or a pinned tab.  The chrome browser and chrome os are truly gonna be remarkable in the coming months.
