Pokemon Omega Ruby/Alpha Saphire Review

Pokemon just keeps pushing forward with some of its best new titles being rebuilds of its previous titles.  How did ORAS stack up?

The Good

• Beautiful polished 3d graphics
• great remastered soundtrack
• Stuck close to the original for most of the game
• Delta episode available after completing the main game
• Awesome cut scenes
• New mega evolutions
• Ride Latios/Latias

The Bad

• Delta Episode is too short
• No real place to level grind
• Can't level up using the battle maison like you could mount battle
• Too Many HMs

The Verdict

ORAS is not a perfect set of games but very close.  It builds off of the X/Y engine and does so really well.  This game feels more polished than X/Y and adds new details to the Hoenn region.  The Delta episode was really short but very epic and enthralling and all the new cut scenes and details to the world make it feel so alive.
